Charlie Collinge

GRADUATE STUDENT

Charlie is currently a first year graduate student in the Clinical Science and Psychopathology Research program in the Department of Psychology. Born and raised in Madison, WI, he first arrived at the University of Minnesota in 2019 as an undergraduate. Over the following four years, he earned a B.A. in Human Physiology and a B.S. in Psychology while conducting research using animal models to understand links between stress, aging, and social behavior. He furthered this line of inquiry after graduation over the span of a year, working on developing methods to quantify age-related changes in social behavior in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at UMN. He aspires to continue to elucidate the social dimensions of the aging process by leveraging the power of behavioral insights and their biological bases. Charlie likes to spend as much time as possible outside, whether it be biking about the Twin Cities, kicking up dirt on a hike, or paddling a canoe through familiar and unfamiliar waters alike.
