Welcome to the Brain and Behavioral Processes Laboratory at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

This lab is directed by Monica Luciana, PhD, Psychology Professor and former Chair of the Department of Psychology. The focus of the lab’s research is to examine brain/behavior relationships in adults and adolescents, with a specific focus on the neurobiology of executive functions and their interfaces with motivational systems. We use a combination of behavioral, pharmacological, molecular, genetic, and neuroimaging techniques to address questions of interest.

Current projects emphasize adolescent brain development and implications for the development of substance abuse disorders.
