Welcome to the Brain and Behavioral Processes Laboratory at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. This lab is directed by Monica Luciana, Ph.D., Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Psychology. The focus of the lab’s research is to examine brain-behavior relationships in adults and adolescents, with a specific focus on the neurobiology of executive functions, their interfaces with motivational systems, and how these processes are impacted by substance use. We use a combination of behavioral, pharmacological, molecular, genetic, and neuroimaging techniques to address questions of interest.
