Andrew Brown
NEUROHEALTH RESEARCH ASSISTANT
A Twin Cities native, Andrew received his BA from Macalester College, where he majored in Neuroscience and minored in Classical Civilizations. Before the Luciana lab, Andrew worked in Dr. Angus MacDonald's TRiCAM Lab in Psychology and Dr Sophia Vinogradov's CoTIPP Lab in Psychiatry studying state representation in early psychosis. His research interests are, broadly speaking, the neurobiology of psychopathology: How are psychiatric disorders physically manifesting themselves in the morphology, circuitry, and mechanisms of the brain? What structural, cognitive, or behavioral markers can cue us to maladaptive psychopathology, and how can these correlations further inform our diagnoses, treatments, and therapies?
